Project Resumes
Below is a short description of some of the print and interactive projects we have created.
Project Resume- Interactive
- Created CD-ROM based interactive magazine for Designs in Machine Embroidery Magazine. The CD features articles from the magazine coupled with software that will allow you to print the embroidery templates.
- Proposed, conceived and created CD-ROM based magazine for Quilter's Newsletter Magazine. This was a joint-venture between the magazine, a maker of quilting software and Creative Support. The CD features articles from the magazine coupled with software that will allow you to print the blocks (a quilting term).
- Redesigned the Speedzone.com web site. Site features the different entertainment offerings and park locations. I maintain the site for the Los Angeles and Dallas parks, updating them on a weekly basis with new promotions and activities. To see the web site click here .
- Designed and produced web site combined with a companion CD-ROM based multimedia presentation for GTE Communications Corporation.
- Redesigned web site for Cyrix Corporation. This includes site strategy, site navigation, site design.
- Designed and implemented series of templates for Chevrolet dealers for BA Advertising (one of Chevrolet's select ad agencies). The site templates were featured on Macromedia's web design gallery.
- Created the design strategy for the National Car Rental web site through Perot Systems. Project was given to several designers and my design won.
- Designed and produced web site for Quilt-Pro Systems. This site accounts for two-thirds of their sales. Site was designed to market, explain and train. The site is now maintained by the client.
- Created and manage -a vertical portal ( www.texasdesign.com ) designed to help graphic designers find design-related information quickly. This site was a finalist in the 1999 SXSW web awards competition.
Project Resume- Packaging
- Designed and produced fountain drink cups for Coca Cola. The cups were designed for Six Flags, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers.
- Redesigned packaging for Quilt Pro Systems flagship product (Quilt Pro) and designed the strategy for a new line of products (Foundation Factory). The redesign increased sales 300% and the new line is very successful.
- Redesigned packaging for Altsys (now Macromedia) Fontographer, which helped increase sales 300%.
- Redesigned packaging for CE Software's QuickMail and QuiKeys.
- Designed and produced a common look and feel for Good Software's "Easy Series", which created brand awareness and helped Good Software's products get into distribution.
- Established design strategy for ABC FlowCharter 3.0, ABC ToolKit and ABC SnapGraphics.
- Designed software packaging for more than 15 products on sale in Computer City, CompUSA, Egghead, and other retailers. In each case the design raised the product's awareness and increased sales.
